Vedanta Aluminium’s 7075 flanges consist of a high-strength aluminum alloy that mainly contains aluminium (87.1–91.4%), zinc (5.1–6.1%), magnesium (2.1–2.9%), and copper (1.2–2.0%). This alloy provides superior mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 572–607 MPa and yield strength of approximately 503 MPa. The alloy has favorable fatigue strength, low weight, and ease of machining, with good machinability for high-performance applications. With poor corrosion resistance as compared to other aluminium alloys, 7075 conducts perfectly in heat-treated states like T6 and T73, providing strength and stability for high-performance components.
