Vedanta Aluminium 5005 Aluminium Circles are made out of a non-heat-treatable aluminium-magnesium alloy containing around 0.8% magnesium, very little iron, silicon, copper, and chromium. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance, particularly in saltwater environments. In terms of mechanics, Aluminium 5005 has a tensile strength of 170–230 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 65–130 MPa, depending on the temper. It also has a high elongation percentage of 12–20%, which makes it highly formable.
