Aluminium 1100 Hex Bars consist of 99.0% pure aluminium, with small amounts of copper (0.05–0.20%), iron (up to 0.95%), and other elements. This grade of commercially pure aluminium is not heat-treatable but boasts excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and high thermal and electrical conductivity. The tensile strength generally falls between 90 and 130 MPa, while the yield strength ranges from 30 to 55 MPa. Aluminium 1100 is highly ductile, making it easy to machine, weld, or cold-work, which is ideal for low-strength applications that demand high corrosion resistance and conductivity.
