About 99.7% of aluminium 1070 bars are made of pure aluminium, with traces of silicon, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, and titanium. This alloy is highly valued due to its exceptional workability, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and resistance to corrosion. Tensile strength of approximately 90–130 MPa, yield strength of approximately 30–35 MPa, elongation of approximately 35–40%, and Brinell hardness of approximately 25 HB are important mechanical characteristics. Although aluminium 1070 cannot be heated, it reacts favourably to cold working techniques such as bending, forming, and drawing, which makes these bars ideal for a wide range of electrical and industrial applications.
