Aluminium 1050 is a commercially pure aluminium alloy with a minimum of 99.5% aluminium. It possesses good corrosion resistance, high ductility, and good electrical and thermal conductivity. The mechanical attributes comprise a tensile strength of about 70–110 MPa and a yield strength of about 35–60 MPa, along with an elongation of more than 35%, and are very malleable and workable. These hex bars offer good formability and weldability, which are best for use in applications calling for moderate strength coupled with high corrosion resistance.
