Aluminium 1100 Flat Bars contain a minimum of 99% pure aluminium content, hence being one of the most commercially pure available aluminium alloys. Major components are aluminium (minimum 99%), with minor components of copper (0.05 max%) and other constituents. The bars have superior corrosion resistance, satisfactory ductility, and high thermal conductivity. The mechanical characteristics encompass tensile strength of 90–130 MPa, yield strength of about 34 MPa, and good workability. The alloy is not heat treatable but hardenability can be achieved through cold working, thus being suited for forming and fabrication.
