Vedanta Aluminium’s Aluminium 5754 Chequered Plates consist mainly of aluminium with about 2.6%–3.6% magnesium content, providing superior corrosion resistance, particularly in marine conditions. The plates have good weldability and high strength. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 190–330 MPa and a yield strength of about 80–280 MPa based on temper. They have high fatigue strength and great surface durability. Having good formability with tempers O and H111, they find applications in complex fabrications. Vedanta maintains accuracy in composition to international standards as well as client requirements.
