Vedanta Aluminium‘s Aluminium 5052 Angles consist mainly of aluminium (near 97.5%) with magnesium (2.2%–2.8%) and chromium (0.15%–0.35%) contributing to improved strength and corrosion resistance. The mechanical characteristics are a tensile strength range of 210–260 MPa and superior fatigue strength. The alloy is not heat treatable but can be hardened by cold working. It is good for weldability, moderate to high strength, and superior resistance to sea water corrosion, suitable for aggressive environments.
