Its typical composition consists of about 4.4% copper, 0.8-1.2% manganese, 0.4-0.8% magnesium, and trace amounts of silicon, iron, and zinc. The alloy has high tensile strength of about 400 MPa and resistance to fatigue, with a density of 2.80 g/cm³.
