Aluminium 1070 is a commercially pure grade of aluminium with an approximate aluminium content of 99.7%. It has superior corrosion resistance and high electrical and thermal conductivity. The mechanical aspects comprise a tensile strength of approximately 70-110 MPa and a yield strength of 35-55 MPa, and it is appropriate for use in applications where good formability and moderate strength are desired. This type is highly workable with very good ductility and thus most suitable for rolling into plates and sheets.
